Four Seasons Hotel Osaka: Our Produced Tea Experience Wins an Award

A Japanese tea experience featuring fragrance-free flavored sencha and carefully selected tea utensils

Producing a Botanical-Flavored Japanese Tea Experience--Without Added Fragrances--at Four Seasons Hotel Osaka "THE SPA"

At "THE SPA" of Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, our flavored sencha SAKURA has been incorporated as part of the treatment experience. In this collaboration, we not only proposed a botanical-flavored Japanese tea that evokes the season without using any added fragrances, but also produced the overall Japanese tea experience, including the selection of tea utensils.

The Signature Ritual Receives an International Award

We are delighted to share that "THE SPA"'s signature well-being ritual, Osaka Sensory Escape, has received the award for "Most Appealing Spa Treatment" at the SpaChina Wellness & Spa Awards 2025, hosted by the globally recognized wellness industry magazine SpaChina. We extend our heartfelt congratulations.

For this program, our design approach considered not only taste, but also the aromatic lift and lingering finish, tactile sensations in the hands, and harmony with the atmosphere of the space. Our goal was for tea's delicate character to connect naturally with the spa environment--bringing the experience to a comfortable, satisfying close.

Gently Expanding the Idea of Tea as "Just a Drink"

Botanical-flavored Japanese tea is one of Yamamasa Koyamaen's ongoing initiatives to explore new possibilities for Japanese tea. Using high-quality tea leaves with rich umami as the foundation, we craft blends with no added fragrances, carefully layering only the natural aromatic nuances of botanicals.

This series is not sold for general retail. We offer it to luxury hotels and food-and-beverage partners seeking a new style of Japanese tea experience--either by selecting from our existing lineup or by developing custom, original blendstailored to the concept, space, and serving scene.

Grounded in the expertise of a Japanese tea wholesaler and producer, Yamamasa Koyamaen will continue to take creative approaches that gently step beyond the idea of tea as "just a drink," refining the very outline of the experience and expanding the possibilities of Japanese tea across a wider range of settings.
