Recipe for matcha beer

A fine combination of the freshness of the matcha flavor and the bitterness of beer. This is the recipe for matcha beer.

◾️Ingredients

  • 3 g matcha (e.g., Matsukaze, Sasamidori, Shihonokaori, Ogurayama) (Using matcha for the tea ceremony is recommended)
  • Lukewarm water
  • 350 cc beer (approximately 1 can)

◾️Directions

  1. Warm up the tea whisk with hot water. Cool the beer glass before preparation.
  2. Put 3 g of matcha into a little bit of lukewarm water and mix with the whisk. Using a tea strainer when adding the matcha will make it easier to mix without creating lumps.
  3. Put it into the glass cup, slowly add more beer and mix.
  4. Add the remaining beer.
